Just got back from Jurong West with ibu..
Went to get some supplies for bro's wedding..
On the way home in the bus,
the bus conductor,a malay uncle,got on the bus to
do the routine inspection...
The conductor got on around Bukit Batok area...
When the conductor went around to
do the check,this apek just smiled
and then he went to the back door and alight..
The apek obviously didnt pay his fare...
The conductor just shook his head..
Then he check the others...
There was this other apek...
He didnt took out his card
when the conductor ask for it...
He just ignore the conductor...
The conductor ask again nicely...
He told the conductor he dun have it..
Then the conductor ask him if he
was alighting at the next stop..
He said no..
He's alighting at Teck Whye at the temple...
Then the conductor told him
to pay for his fare until Teck Whye...
He didnt want to..
So he told the apek to alight..
The apek just say let him ride the bus
until his destination...
The conductor say to the apek,
"If you want to take the bus until
Teck Whye then pay the fare...
Cannot just ride for free...
Everyone also pay..You must pay also..
If you dun pay,then unfair to the rest..."
The apek still insist on not paying...
Then the conductor told the apek to alight..
The apek don't want...
But the conductor just press the bell...
Whn reach the bus stop,the conductor told
the apek nicely to alight...
The apek got angry and stomp down the bus...
He was cursing and swearing the conductor
the whole time.
Even when he alighted the bus,
at the bus stop and the bus move off,
The apek was still cursing and swearing the conductor...
It made me think...
If the conductor was a Chinese,
will the apek reacted differently??
Or if the apek was a Malay Pakcik,
will the situation be different???
I'm not being racist,but something
tells me that it might...
And I don't know why the apek need
to be angry with the conductor...
Its not as if the conductor chase him down...
The apek insist on not paying
his remaining journey fare..
So what's the conductor to do...
He's merely doing his job...
Poor dude...
Really...
And it got me thinking too...
Is our golden citizen taking advantage of
the younger citizen???
Well its another day in our sunny island..
Singaporeans with a lot of character...
I hope I don't get into trouble with this post...
