Hey peeps...Hehehe...Back in my homeland...My beloved Singapore!!!Not trying to be patriotic here but yes...So glad to be back...From where some may ask...Well I went 2 Bangkok for 5 days on a study trip...It was so much fun...Its a trip that i always dreamt of...For 4 straight days was non-stop SHOPPING!!!
Went to their night market(like our pasar malam)in PatPhong and SuanLuam(i think tts hw u spell it)...Didnt really bought a lot of things..Just bought a pair of cool shades n a lamp...PatPhong is actually 1 of their red-light districts...Some of us were being pulled 2 go into their bars n stripped club...HEHEHE.....So funny yet scary...
Our 2nd day we went to 1 of their famous weekend market name Chatchuchak...We were suppose 2 buy things from Bangkok and sell it in sch during 1 of e bazzars..Its like our Bugis Village only that its much bigger...Bought some things both 4 myself or as soveniers and for me to sell...After that went to Mahboonkrong,like orchard road...Its so crowded..Of cos lah crowded,its a Saturday...Had lunch n did a bit more shopping...Then went back 2 e hotel,shower,rest and meet up 4 dinner...
3dr day...Went back 2 Chatchuchak 2 get more stuff...As some of them did not buy anything e previous day,hence e trip back there...Well at least managed 2 get more gifts n things that I can sell here...Then went back 2 hotel,rest n meet up 4 dinner...We had dinner in their another version of our orchard road area name Pratunam..Tried fried mealworms n grasshoppers...They tasted like ikan bilis n shrimp respectively...Shop some more...I shop like a MAD SHOPPER ON A LOSE...It was to e extent that I'm scared too...Tried 2 control my shopping...So jus get some stuff 4 Mummy,Mama n Mak..Well ok 4 myself too...
4th day start very early as we were going to their floating market which is 2hrs outside of Bangkok...Its was a whole different culture...After lunch went to e Rose Garden...Its more like a cultural show...Managed to learn more abt e Thai culture...Their culture is influenced a lot by Buddhism as majority of e population is Buddhist...Was a fun day in a way...Went back 2 hotel,showered n meet up 4 dinner at Pratunam area also...Mr Chua wanted us to watch this Thai show called Tom Yam Goong...It was an action show n it really display their culture...Honestly,I slepy at 1 part of e movie..2 reasons that it happened...1 cos we had a long day n i was SO tired n the other 1 is b'cos i wasnt feeling well...Caught e fever n flu bug due to weather...Cool show nonetheless...
5 day...Tot I over slept so quickly showered n got dress...Went down 4 breakfast but did see e rest..Jus eat without them..Went back 2 my room 4 my things but realise tt I was super early...Some jus woke up...So managed 2 catch my 40 winks...Went to e airport...
The trip was an eye opener 4 me personally...I learn to appreciate things that I have more...Its really a cool experience...If I have e chance,I would want 2 go back Bangkok again...Well I'll put e pics up soon...That's all 4 now...Very very tired...Shall get some shut eyes now...Nitez...Take care,my peeps...Ariverderchi....
